Testing of stability and safety
The stability and safety of the furniture is tested with regard to tipping and overturning in relevant directions, through loading at relevant points on the product.
Stability and safety
Safety is ensured through a requirement for tube ends to be covered and for edges to be free from burrs and be rounded or chamfered. There must be no cutting or crushing risks associated with set-up, adjustment or joining.
Requirements are also imposed concerning dimensions and distances between parts in order to eliminate hazards in connection with use of the product.
Stability requirements are tested in accordance with: NS-EN 1022
- The stability of furniture is tested with regard to tipping in relevant directions, with a seat plumb and loads.
